
 
Vintage 1940s 14k Gold Diamond Engagement Ring - Over 1/3 CTW in Illusion Setting
Late 1940s diamond engagement ring in 14k yellow gold illusion setting. The center diamond in the engagement ring measures 4.6mm (approx 38 points or over 1/3 of a carat) with excellent clarity and color (VVS2, H). This diamond is a modern brilliant cut. The illusion setting accented on the sides by 1-1/2 point single cut diamonds. The ring is marked "14K-18K" and has an 18K gold white gold top. It also has a makers mark, the letter "H" inside a lozenge, for Jacob Hookaylo Company of Newark, New Jersey (in business since 1922). This engagement ring is a size 7, weighs 2.2 grams and can easily be resized. Overall condition is very good with no problems to note.
