Victorian photographic pin. This is a wonderful antique circa 1895-1910 portrait pin features a man with a clerical collar and dressed in vestments. It is possibly the image of John Henry Cardinal Newman. He was a Roman Catholic priest and Cardinal who converted to Roman Catholicism from Anglicanism in 1845. This photograph is printed on a tin back, set in a blackened metal frame. The photo is done in sepia tones. The pin has a base metal back and a brass pin with a C clasp. It measures 1" in diameter and is in extremely good condition.
