Victorian gutta percha hand mirror with patent date of 1888. This is one of the most beautiful gutta percha mirrors I have seen! The back of the mirror is decorated with a fountain, peacocks, flowers and a center medallion with a cherub. Condition of the item is excellent. There are no nicks, or dents in the gutta percha. The mirror is pristine and I assume has been replaced. The top of the handle is marked Pat. 1888. Below the patent date is an abbreviation of the Month of March and the patent number but I can not make out the numbers.

This whimisical belt was made for the Carlisle Collection. The belt has a painted penguin buckle accented with white rhinestones. It is 1/4" wide and made of genuine black leather with a smooth finish. The inside of the belt is marked `16346 Carlisle Made in USA Genuine Leather L" and fits waists 30-33". It is very pretty, previously owned, and in very good condition! The Carlisle Collection is a women's clothing company that uses socially well-connected `consultants` to sell its line to affluent women. According to an article in the St. Petersburg Times `So powerful is the word-of-mouth network that Carlisle does not advertise except for an occasional page in Town & Country`. This belt does have one flaw, a dent on the very edge from having something heavy placed on it (see photo). It will not be noticible when the belt is worn. Very large ring that has the words "Tallest Married Couple on Earth" in raised letters on the front. "Giant Rings" like this one, were promoted as being "the right size for the giant to wear". The inside of this ring measures 1-3/8" across and it is approx. a size 25. The ring was made from a metal mold of base metals like lead and tin. Condition is very good for it's age with no cracks, dents, or missing metal.
